Chief Financial Officer Czech Republic and Slovakia, Autobinck (Prague)

Our client is the company Autobinck (www.autobinck.com), a leading player in the European mobility market with a long presence in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and a retail network of 7 dealership operations wearing the colors of brands such as Hyundai, MG, Mitsubishi, BMW, Mini, Maxus, Mazda, Volvo, Peugeot, Skoda, Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Opel, Seat and Cupra. In order to reinforce their top management team, we are looking for their future Chief Financial Officer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The position is based in Prague.

The Chief Financial Officer acts as the company’s most senior finance representative for the Czech and the Slovak operations and is responsible for the following areas:

  • accounting,
  • controlling,
  • reporting,
  • treasury,
  • tax,
  • as well as relationships with banks.

Your responsibilities

Management

  • A balanced business view of cooperation between the commercial, operational and finance departments and partnership in achieving the optimum performance of the company,
  • Experience in guiding finance departments (accounting, controlling, reporting, treasury, tax, currently 25 people),
  • Active participation in the management team and the market guidance.

Accounting

  • Responsible for the accuracy of all financial and accounting data up to the validation of the statutory financial statements,
  • Responsible for the supervision of the monthly reports and annual budgets,
  • Responsible for consolidated reporting to the shareholder,
  • Supervising the annual audits of the statutory accounts and managing relationships with auditors as well as internal audits.

Controlling

  • Ensuring the reporting to headquarters and shareholders in terms of management accounting and statutory packages according to group policies,
  • Drawing up and preparation of all operating reporting (performance indicators) and KPI’s for operational managers and directors,
  • Supervising the entire budget process (preparation, validation and monitoring) jointly with the group management and market leadership,
  • Monitoring and permanently improving the management tools, the company procedures and information systems,
  • Strong involvement in developing, implementing, monitoring and managing reporting packages in the ERP system.

Cash management

  • Responsible for maintaining adequate working capital & operating cash-flow,
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate financing,
  • Managing relationships with banks: negotiation and implementation of all financing instruments.

Your profile

You are fluent in Czech and English. You are a qualified Chief Financial Officer with ideally recognized international finance qualifications (not mandatory).

You offer a University level of education in finance and/or economics. You offer a professional experience of at least 15 years in the management of accounting, controlling, reporting and treasury departments in international environments, including at least one assignment as Chief Financial Officer (ideally in a distribution business – prior experience in the car industry would be an advantage),

You offer advanced skills in Excel (macros, modelling, pivot tables, and lookups) and Power Point and you are experienced working in different ERP environments,

You are well organized, structured, clear in your choices and your propositions. You care for honesty, transparency, reliability and compliance with global standards.

You offer controlling thinking beyond the pure accounting skills as well as excellent organization skills and a strong capacity to set-up priorities, work under pressure and with deadlines.

You present strong communication skills on both verbal and written mode and on all hierarchical levels (ideally in matrix organizations) as well as excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability, attention to details.

You develop a can-do attitude, a doer approach, present a pragmatic personality.
